The Haji Dam was constructed as the first full-scale multipurpose dam in Hiroshima Prefecture. On the shores of Lake Yachiyo, the dam lake, there is Park with a lawn and large playground equipment, providing a place of recreation and relaxation for children and adults alike. It is also one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in western Japan, with approximately 6,000 cherry trees in full bloom along the lakeside in spring, which are also illuminated. The Doji Dam is also a popular spot for viewing the autumn leaves, which in the fall are a spectacular display of color. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities in the abundant nature around Lake Yachiyo.
