The main street shopping street of Hiroshima City is located about 1 km south of Hiroshima Station and is familiar to many people. It is within walking distance of Peace Park and is a must-see spot for sightseeing in Hiroshima.
About 370 shops line the Hondori shopping district, selling a wide variety of goods, including clothing, cosmetics, food and general merchandise. They also sell okonomiyaki and momiji manju, which are local foods in Hiroshima, so you can enjoy the taste of Hiroshima.
The shopping district retains an old-fashioned atmosphere and is dotted with stylish cafes and restaurants. Also, on the second Saturday of each month, an event called the Night Main Street Market is held, which features food stalls, a stage, and other attractions.
